Indiana edition of the American Issue again calls one of the supreme 'ourt judge wet. the offense for w hich the Indiana edition editor, the Rev. E. S. The editorial comment of the dry organ ends with this paragraph: “Judge Myers last autumn, to offset the opposition of the Anti-Sa-loon League, wrote some letters to W C. T. U. icacers ifc the state asserting among other things that he was dry. This recent declaration of his shows him not a dry but a wet." The editorial also states that his speech shows that he is ‘ alligned with the liquor interests, in fact more so than the average liberal in this state." Shumaker was sentenced to pay a $250 fine and serve sixty days at the Indiana state farm for terming supreme court judges wet in his 1925 League report published in The American Issue. June 14.—Death was sweeter to Henry Friebel, 50, soldier of fortune, than the thought of a quiet life. Ir. his span of a half-century Friebel traveled extensively. He fought in the Spanish-American war and the Philippines and Santo Domingo insurrections and was cited for gallantry in all three. He owned an 800-acre ranch in Wyoming and had $1,300 in the bank.
