June 7.—This city is to be the scene of a novel sport event for three days, starting June 15, when trim miniature sailing yachts from clubs' in several cities will meet in a national regatta. These races will be held under auspices of the Model Yacht Racing

Association of America to select an American challenger to participate in a series of international model yacht races tt> be held in Gosport. England, early in August. Designing, building and racing of these model craft is rapidly becoming a popular sport in this country. It is attracting not only the boys, but men from all walks of life, among them experienced sailors, yachtsmen, army and navy officers, marine architects and builders. Entries in these races are expected from Boston, Providence, New York. Washington. Jacksonville, Cleveland. Chicago and other cities. At the international races the American challenger will compete with similar yachts from England and the British

Empire. France. Germany, Latvia. Norway and Belgium. These neat little yachts arc constructed and sailed just like their larger prototypes. They range in length between sixty-five and seventy-five inches, average thirteen or fourteen inches in beam, weigh about forty pounds and have around two thousand square inches of sail area. Conservation department crews removed 541 gar and 140 large dogfish from three northern Indiana lakes during the first two weeks in May. according to reports today by George N.
