Mrs, W, S, Lockhart, One of Council Founders, to Go to California. Resignation of Mrs. W. S. Lockhart as executive secretary of the Indiana Council on International Relations was announced today by the council's executive board. With her husband. Dr. Lockhart and their son Paul, history’ teacher at Shortridge high school. Mrs. Lockhart will go to California about June 15 to supervise their citrus crove near Riverside. The board has had two secret, conferences to discuss the list of seven directors to be chosen June 4 m accordance with the law creating the utility district. SLAIN BY JR MAID Cleveland Woman Killed With Knife. By Vnited Press CLEVELAND. May 31.-Mrs. Dorothy Snyder, wife of Attorney Alonzo Snyder, was stabbed to death in her home here today' during an altercation with her maid. Mrs. Snyder was killed with a butcher knife. Detectives first to arrive at the Snyder home found it unlocked. On rapping, the door was opened by the maid. She said her name was Anna Seeman. Detective George Graul said the girl immediately confessed to the killing, declaring she and Mrs. Snyder had quarreled over money the girl alleged was due her. She was placed under arrest. Attorney Snyder has been one of the chief legal opponents of the Van Swearingen brothers. He represented interests that fought the Van Swearingens and also the backers of the terminal project here. Girl Scouts. Camp Fire Girls, Y. M. C. A., Y. W. C. A. and similar organizations. Besides these, at least 1.000 camps established by private schools and by individuals will be in operation for the children who can afford a long vacation in the open under expert guidance. Almost every village, within the past few years, has established a motor camp for tourists w'ho stop over night. It is estimated conservatively that there are now some 2.000 such accomodations in existence. Cities and welfare organizations also are recognizing the fact that an outdoor vacation for those of small means is a profitable as well as worthy investment. The city of Los Angeles, for example, has recently created five camping reservations which are open to its residents in much the same way as the now common municipal golf courses. The Sales Management figures covering expenditures only for food, equipment and clothes, show' that $293,080,950 was spent in getting out in the open last year.
