today. Logan said a physician recommended the malt to his wife, who had been ill for several weeks, as a stimulant. Prohibition agents who made the arrest said they believed Logan intended selling the malt. Prohibition Commissioner E. C. Yellowley said if Logan intended using the malt as a beverage he was violating the Jones law. Logan said he purchased the large quantity so he would not have to keep going so often to a drug store, where the malt is obtainable without prescription. The swamps and wet lands of the United States have a total area of about 79,005.023 acres.
