Business Women to Convene More than 1 000 members of Busiand Professional Women’s Clubs throughout Indiana will gather at Terre Haute, May 18, 19, and 20. for the annual state convention of the Indiana federation of that organization. Miss Lena Madesin Phillips, New "York City, president of the national federation, will deliver the principal address at the banquet to be held Monday night. May 20. Headquarters for the convention will be the Hotel Deming, Terre Haute. Registration will take place there all day Saturday. A meeting will be held in the Deming ballroom, with Miss Mabel McKee as chairman in charge. A musical program will be given by the orchestra and the federation glee clubs. Several clubs will present stunts. Emma Claus, Gary, will present pictures of the good will tour to Europe. Members of the Clinton club will present a vaudeville act and there will be dancing at 9:30. Breakfast for Members An emblem breakfast will be served at 8 o’clock Sunday morning. Nora Ball Ragsdale, Terre Haute, will pronounce the invocation. A program will be given under direction of Gladys Heaton, Clinton, state emblem chairman. The rest of the morning will be taken up with drives through the city. Something new in the way of luncheons will be held at 1 o’clock Sunday, when the women will be < lassifled according to professions and lunch together. Forba McDaniels, Indianapolis, will be the speaker for the banking, insurance, and real estate group, which will lunch at the Hotel Deming. Special breakfasts with the chairmen of state standing committees as hostesses, will be held at 7:30, Monday morning, at the Hotel Deming. Business meetings and reports will take up the rest of the morning. Election will take place from 12 to 2 o’clock. The annual state banquet will be held at 6 o'clock at the Shrine temple. French Lick Springs is in the midst of its Derby season. The bright day of all the year, so far as French Lick Springs is concerned, is Kentucky Derby day at Churchill Downs, drawing racing devotees from all parts of the country. The annual Derby ball at the Springs hotel will be held next Friday night, with a less colorful affair Saturday night, after the crowds have returned from the Downs. Plan State Convention Twenty-fifth anniversary of Indiana Kings Daughters and Sons will be observed at the state convention in Logansport May 21, 22 and 23. Mothers are Honored By Delta Zetas Mrs. T. E. Grinslade, 3956 Central avenue, entertained at a luncheon meeting for members of the Delta Zeta Alumnae Club at her home today.
