ago the President, at Nye’s request, nominated Seth W. Richardson of North Dakota to be an assistant | attorney-general. It was the first I time that North Dakota ever had received a high place in the department of justice. White House officials were astounded at Senator Borah’s decision to vote for the debenture plan. It was Borah who was chiefly responsible for Hoover's decision to call an extra session ,of congress to provide farm relief. Hoover's farm views are no different now than they were last fall, officials say. when Borah was crusading as Hoover's chief advocate. According to an estimate of the Boyce Thompson institute for plant research, the human race uses in its foods about two-tenths of 1 per cent of the solar energy captured by plants.
