MANUAL BAND GIVES PROGRAM AT MONUMENT Schools. Societies Sponsor Musical Selections Today. Downtown crowds were entertained with a Music week program at noon today when the Manual Training high school band played on the south steps of the Soldiers’ and Sailors’ monument. The band was directed by 11. E.. Winslow. The third program of chimes from the carillon at the Scottish Rite cathedral will be given at 3:45 p. m. today. Anton Brees, Belgian carilloneur. will play. Families and friends of the Y. M. C. A. have been invited to attend a concert to be given at 8 tonight in the auditorium of the main building at Illinois and New York streets. A trio of artists with violin, ccilo and piano, under the direction of Carl Grouleff of the Metropolitan School of Music will play. At noon daily the Y. W. C. A. is giving phonograph programs.
