CAMP OBTAINED FOR SCOUT USE Boys Will Have Outing on 130-Acre Tract. | Bn I im *B Special ANDERSON, Ind., April 12.—A tract of 130 acres twelve miles northwest of this city has been leased as a summer camp for Boy Scouts of the Hoosier Council, including Madison, Hamilton and Tipton counties. Activities will open June 16 under supervision of Scout Executive Earl J. Rood and Field Executive C. Guy Woodring. Camp will be maintained until Aug. 15. Development plans call for one of Indiana’s model camps. The site offers every desired natural advantage. Pipe creek flows diagonally through the tract, while seventyfive acres of woodland affords facilities for many phases of Scout nature study. Water conditions have been approved bv the state board of health. 1 /e hundred Scouts will observe cleanup day at the camp April 20. Summer camping activities have been maintained by the local Scouts since 1924 at various small sites.
