A fortune of $56,914, 200, exclusive of vast real estate holdings, was revealed by inventory of the estate of the late Rodman Wanamaker, patron of arts and heir of John Wanamaker, founder of the department store corporation. The inventory was filed Tuesday in the register of wills office here. It represented the largest estate in the history of Montgomery county and one of the largest in the history of the state.

LOCATE BYRD PLANE Three Fliers Forced Down on Ice Found Safe. By United Press NEW YORK, March 20.—The New York Times and St. Louis PostDispatch announced today that Commander Richard E. Byrd had flown to the rescue of three members of his Antarctic expedition who had been forced down on the ice, and had found them safe and well. Larry Gould, Bernt Balchen and Harold June, who started from the expedition’s base for a flight over the Rockefeller mountains, encountered a severe storm which crippled their plane. They were unable to communicate with Byrd by radio and the rescue flight was undertaken to determine their plight.
