SCHOOLS PLAN TO CELEBRATE ON WEDNESDAY Washington Birth Programs Arranged for Feb. 21: Speakers Scheduled. Spangler, president, wiii preside. The Irvington School of Music will arrange the program of .School 18 at 2:30 p. m. The Shortridae Parent-Teacher Association will meet at 8 p. m. Tuesday. Henry- M. Dowling will speak on ‘‘A Country Which Is Our Own.” Miss Mary Pratt of the Shortridge faculty will speak on "The Teaching of Patriotism in Shortridge High School.” The music will be a flute and clarinet duet by Earl Christoph and Richard Kvberg. Feb. 15—Carl Remm. owner of a dance hall at Kouts, today Is under a tw-o-to-twenty-one year prison sentence following conviction in Porter circuit court here on a manslaughter charge resulting from the death of William Meadows. An automobile driven by Remm. struck and fatally injured Meadows, a Kouts farmer.
