MAIL WESTERN GIFTSJOBAY Last Day to Send Presents for Californians. Today is the last day for mailing Christmas parcels to California, if they are to be delivered by Christmas, Postmaster Robert H. Bryson announced. Bryson also gave final dates when packages for other states may be mailed and reach their destination by Christmas. He urged they be mailed a day or two before the final date to insure delivery. States for which packages must be mailed by Tuesday include Arizona. Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Maine, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. Thursday is the final day for mailling to Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Georgia, lowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey. North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina. South Dakota, Vermont and Alabama. Parcels for Ilinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin should be mailed not later than Friday. Saturday is the last day to mail packages for Indiana towns. Brjson called attention to the fact there will be no delivery Christmas day. POPE_ SEEKS HEALTH Takes Long Auto Rides to Improve Blood Circulation. By United Press , ROME, Dec. 18.—Pope Pius XI, on the advice of his medical advisors, is taking daily long automobile rides in the Vatican gardens. Some days he covers twenty-five miles, lapping the spacious gardens sixteen or seventeen times. It is believed the rides will improve the circulation of his blood. 3 FACE BOOZE CHARGE Two Arrested When 35 Gallons of Alky Are Found in Car. John Dolosziki, 26, of Indiana Harbor, and Ray Cart, 32, of 508 North Alabama street, are held today by police on charges of operating a blind tiger and transporting liquor. A third man, Willie Carey, is held on a vagrancy charge. The trio were arrested after police found thirty-five gallons of alcohol in a car on West Tenth street near the city hospital. Cart said the auto belonged to him. FRATERNITY TO DANCE Delta Sigma Nu and Shamrock Club to Combine In Affair.
