were fining persons arrested in other counties for alleged law violations. It was understood the jury received information that a man was arrested in Jackson county recently by two men who said they were deputy state fish and game wardens. According to informatioin obtained, the alleged law violator was brought from there to this county and a justice fined him $19.50. Justice O. P. Bebinger of Washington township already is under indictment in criminal court on a

bribery violation alleged to have been committed a year ago. Taunted Man Turns Slayer B(l Times Special TERRE HAUTE, Ind., Nov. 16. Samuel Roberts, Negro, 65, faces a murder charge here because he fatally shot Charles Debow, Negro, 32, when Debow ridiculed him because he returned from a hunting trip with only one rabbit.

prehended for failing to halt his machine at a stop street. Bernard D. Ray, 28, who had several aliases, was driving with his wife, child and mother-in-law, when he failed to stop at an intersection. Two detectives overhauled his machine and during their questioning Ray became excited and gave first one alias and then another. The detectives finally took him to jail, where it was announced he confessed to taking the money

from the North Side bank at Jennings, St. Louis county, Mo. Ray said he was cleaning out the bank when attracted by a stack of bills and silver in the cashier’s cage.
