ACCUSE MOSES OF INFLAMING RELIGIOUS HATE Directed Wide Circulation of Anti-Catholic Articles, Raskob Charges. By United Press WASHINGTON, Nov. I.—Senator George H. Moses of New Hampshire, eastern Republican director, was charged directly today by Chairman Raskob of the Democratic national committee with instructing circulation in North Carolina of “one of the most vicious and anti-Catholic articles that ever has been penned for publication.” In letters to Herbert Hoover and Chairman Work of the Republican national committee, Raskob enclosed the photostatic copy of a letter he said Moses had written directing circulation of such material, and three affidavits charging Republican officials with having circulated antiCatholic propaganda in Kansas, Mississippi and Kentucky. Raskob also made the general charge in his letter that “many of those associated with the Republican party and the Republican national committee all through this campaign have been engaged in the despicable practice of inciting religious bigotry in our country through promoting the preparation and circularization of scurrilous and scandalous literature and false and misleading statements about the Catholic religion, because it happens to be the faith that Honorable Alfred E. Smith was taught at his mother’s knee and to which he is still devoted.” Letter Is Published The Moses letter, of which Raskob said he has the original, was written to Zeb Vance Walser, Lexington, Ky., according to the Democratic chairman, who quoted it as follows “Dear Zeb Vance: I am sending you an article for newspaper publication which is written by a native in South Carolina, who now is engaged in editorial work in New York city. It is red hot stuff, and I wish you could get it put into some North Carolina papers. “Will you not do so and if you can do so, will you not send me some copies?” Raskob did not publish the alleged article, but enclosed it in his letter to Work, calling upon the chairman to produce it. “Will you deny that this enclosure is one of the most vicious antiCatholic articles that has ever been penned for publication?” he asked Work. "I am enclosing photostatic copy of an affidavit signed by Bernice Smalley, in which she swears that

Going Up!'
Nightly, now, her smile Is winning new hearts all over America. She is lovely Corrine Burton, whose New York home Is the New Weston hotel. Her march to fame includes a season each in “The Music Box” and “The Scandals”; and now, under Chas. Bowers’ direction, she's going up in the movies! “I don’t believe in overlooking any point which may heip make your presence pleasing,” says Miss Burton. “Recently, I learned the method of caring for the hair, which is all the rage among New York girls, now. It’s so easy. All you do is put a little Danderine on your brush every time you arrange your hair. It makes my hair so easy to dress and holds it in place wonderfully. It has gotten rid of my dandruff. It keeps my scalp and hair so clean and comfortable that I don’t shampoo half as often as I used to. It gives my hair such a silky, soft and lustrous appearance that friends comment on it.” Danderine is not oily. It removes the oily film from each strand of hair, restores its natural color, gives it new lustre. It dissolves dandruff, cleanses and invigorates the scalp. It is delightfully fragranced. All drug stores have the generous 35c bottles. Lovely, gleaming hair and a healthy scalp for a few cents. —Advertisement.
