OLD TRAILS has for its officers and directors eight kien, all active in state and city affairs, all widely known and recognized for their business ability and financial integrity.
(jj In the days of the wilderness, adventurous pioneers marked the new routes by blazing the trees. Thus was West Washington Street marked in the early days, later to be known as “The Old Trails Road” to the middle west. If all who followed had stuck to the ready-made original trails the country would still be a wilderness, The same spirit that blazed the first trails boldly ignored them and opened up fresh ones in all directions. (j[ Real progress begins where the rules leave off. <J[ A city grows and prospers not because so few people leave it, but because so many people come to it. And because Indianapolis has a right to her claim to substantial advantages, she has grown. While we call ' this Indianapolis’ newest office building, it is by no means Indianapolis' 1 largest, yet in the United States comparatively few new buildings have opened more complete in every way. We humbly believe that the opening of “The Old trails Building” is of no small moment in the progress of this great city. To West Washington Street it represents an improvement of considerable importance. ([f This development, this enterprise, is the culmination of a dream—our ideal—an answer to a long-felt need for a building where we can better serve our thousands of policyholders. (J| Our preparations have been of such widespread interest that we have set aside this evening as an inspection night. You and your friends are cordially invited. 4
