EDUCATION TO BE KEYNOTE OF FETE PROGRAM Every Conceivable Product to Be Demonstrated r. and Explained. A program which will be educational as well as replete with interesting and entertaining details has been arranged by the East Washington Street Merchants’ Association for the. Harvest Festival, which begins Saturday and will be continued through Saturday, Nov. 3. Demonstrations of products on sale at the stores, which will include methods of manufacture, distribution and use, will be one of the features. Another will be the use of the latest household furniture and equipment. This will include the inventions which tend to make things easier for the housewife. Radio to Be Feature Latest developments in radio will be displayed and all visitors to the festival are invited to visit stores selling radios and equipment and obtain any technical information desired. Experts from factories engaged in manufacture of radio equipment, household furniture and inventions ranging from the electric carpet sweeper to the electric dishwasher will be present to explain the products. While the exhibition and demonstrations will be going on, a band will play on Washington street from Pennsylvania street westward. Style Shows Scheduled Stores handling ladies’ and men’s clothing will hold style shows at which the latest creations for both men and women will be displayed by models. Arrangements have been completed to have a tight rope walker perform over the heads of the crowds. The rope will be stretched between two buildings, and each afternoon the entertainer will go through his series of thrilling stunts. No efforts will be spared to entertain the thousands expected to visit the festival, according to Stanley Lipton of the Gordon Furniture Company, in charge of the entertainment.

5-YEAR-OLD LIBEL CASE TO BE ARGUED NOV. 14 George Dale, Muncie Publishers, to Appear in Supreme Court. A five-year-old case of criminal libel against George R. Dale, publisher of the Muncie Post-Demo-crat, has been set for oral argument before the supreme court Nov. 14, at 10 a. m. Dale gained fame by being held In contempt by Judge Clarence R. Dearth and the high court decision that “truth was no defense.” He went to the Indiana state farm and paid a fine and was released on order of Governor Ed Jackson. The action was similar to that taken by the Governor in the Shumaker case. The case set for argument is one In which Dale was fined SSOO and sentenced to five months in jail for calling George Roeger, Muncie, a draft dodger in an issue of the Dale paper ih 1923. KISER IS REAL BOOSTER Merchant Plays Big Part in Advance of East Washington St. The man who especially is identified with the growth of the East Washington Street Merchants Association is Simon Kiser, head of the Marvel Furniture Company, 44 East Washington street. For years Kiser had a ladies’ ready-to-wear store where Goldstein Brothers department store is located. Following his retirement from this business, he maintained ft steady interest in the growth of the district, and when he, five years ago, went into the furniture business, he located his store on East Washington street. Charters Game Plane Bv United Press NEW YORK, Oct. 26.—A trimotored Ford all-metal airplane has been chartered by Wood McClure, 29, of this place, to take a group of Columbia rooters to the Colum-bia-Penna football game in Philadelphia Saturday.
