Fo tli© People of Indianapolis Indiana Theatre entertainment has been presented under a policy of ‘the best in everything.” Week in and week out, conscientious effort has been made to give the people of Indianapolis the finest theatre entertainment in America. If the Indiana’s goal has been attained, full credit is due to the people of Indianapolis, for it is only through the enthusiastic support of the public that this high standard of entertainment could have been accomplished The Indiana, however, has been confronted with a serious problem —the alternative of an increase in prices, or the curtailment of its program. An increase is necessary if the entertainment standards of the past are to be maintained, due to added costs for sound pictures —to salary increases —additional employees in all union crafts —and to general advances in all overhead expenses. The management asked itself the question: " WHAT would the PUBLIC have us do; WHAT would the PUBLIC do if it were in charge of this theatre?”
