together with Dick Powell master of ceremonies, was the guest of Dr. Edward T. Thompson of the James Whitcomb Riley Memorial Hospital for Children one morning this week. Each one of the wards of the hospital was visited by Jackie Coogan. It was the first time the youngsters at the hospital had ever seen Jackie. Many were bedfast and Jackie visited each of them. Jackie Coogan, probably the most photographed youngster in the world, gave a number of the patients at the hospital a real thrill. Several photographs were made of Jackie and the patients. Jackie made arrangements with Floyd Brown, manager of the First National exchange to show “Circus Days,” one of his most famous pictures, to all the children at the Riley Hospital next Saturday. While Jackie paid personal calls on the children and showed them how to make a novel airplane out of paper, the Dictators of Harmony sang. Dick Powell also greeted the youngsters. Jackie Coogan was accompanied by his father and members of his party and the staff of the theater.
