Here are this week’s prize-winning recipes by Times readers. Send directions for your favorite and newest dish to the Recipe Editor to compete for the weekly and daily dollar awards. Honey Tea Cakes One cup of sour cream, one-half teaspoon of soda, two beaten eggs, one and one-half cups of strained honey, one teaspoon of flavoring, two teaspoons of baking powder, two cups of flour. Sift the baking powder with the flour and add to the ingredients. Pour into gem pans and bake carefully at 375 degrees. Frost with the follownig - icing: One cup of sugar, one-half teaspoon of flavoring, six tablespoons of sweet milk. Boil sugar and milk together until the mixture threads, add flavoring, cool and stir until creamy. MAGGIE HERSHBERGER. R. R., Veedersburg, Ind. Relish Fifteen ripe tomatoes, six onions, two tablespoons of 1 salt, six sour apples, three green peppers, two tablespoons of brown sugar, onefourth teaspoon of cayenne pepper, one cup of vinegar. Wonder bread ITS SLO-BAKED

and let stand two days. Drain and cover with cold vinegar, add a teaspoon cayennne pepper and three tablespoons dry mustard, wet to a paste with a little vinegar. Boil slowly for an hour, then seal while hot in glass jars, being sure a nice mixture of vegetables goes into each jar. Make the brine of one-half gallon boiling water and a pint of salt. Put layer of cracker crumbs in a buttered baking dish, dot with butter, slice over this a layer of cucumbers and season with salt and pepper. Alternate layers of crumbs and cucumbers until dish is filled, seasoning generously with butter. Cover with hot milk and bake in a moderate ovan until cucumbers are tender. Butterscotch Pineapple Pudding Cook one-third cup minute tapioca, one-fourth cup of sugar, onefourth teaspoon of salt, and one quart milk, scalded, in double boiler fifteen minutes. Pour small amount over one beaten egg yolk and stir to keep yolk from cooking. Return to boiler and cook one minute; cool. Add three-fourths cup of crushed pineapple, six tablespoons melted j butter, three-fourths cup brown!
