FIGHT FOR GANG ' LEADER'S BODY [Two Wives Seek to Bury Man Slain by Foes.
lit/ United Pr> s* NEW YOFK, July 3.—While the body of Frank Uale rested in a solid silver coffin, costing $15,000 today, two wives implored police to let them bury the gang leader, killed Jor some breach of the underworld fcode. First to the Brooklyn undertaking parlor came Mrs. Maria Uale, a child clinging to each arm and in her hand a marriage certificate. The children were: Isabelle, 10, and Bose, 9, both daughters of the gangster. Then Mrs. Luceida Uale, carrying a 2-month-old girl, arrived and presented a marriage certificate. Polive believe Uale divorced his first Wife a year ago. Mrs. Maria Uale admitted she fiad not lived with Uale for a’ year. Uale, shot to death Sunday, was known as one of the richest gangsters in the East. There is some $50,000 left and half of it will go toward providing the most elaborate funeral Brooklyn has ever seen. The x coffin cost $15,000.
