BAN GOES ON ‘FREE PARKING' FORJOBLESS Benches Are Removed From Employment Office at City Hall. • BY DAN M. KIDNEY No more “free parking” for the unemployed at the free employment bureau at City Hall. Manager Ed Williams has ordered all benches removed from the waiting room. He a. so has issued orders forbidding sitting on the cement floor. “This place was becoming a regular club,” Williams said. “Bench loafers kept so busy talking we hardly could get one loose to take a job. “A man out of work should be willing to stand up and take a job when it comes in.” Jobs haven’t been so plentiful lately. Indiana Theater Fetes Times Carriers
