The full program for the Marion County Disciples of Christ assembly July 8-15 at the new Butler University field house, Fairview Park, was announced today by the Rev. Gerald L. K. Smith, chairman of the assembly committee. The first three consecutive meetings will be conducted singley by u>r. George Campbell, St. Louis; tne Rev. George Knepper, Akron, Ohio; and the Rev. Homer Carpenter, Louisville, Ky. A “youth night” program is arranged for July 11 to be conducted fay Dr. Walter P. Dearing, president of Oakland City College. A special committee will attempt to mobilize 1,000 y#ung people for that night. Dr. Earl Wilfley, Terre Haute, will address the women’s mass meeting the night of July 12. A “Church Delegation night” will be held July 13 and a silver loving cup presented the church having the largest attendance. Dr. Charles Reign Schoville, Chicago, will speak. Mo meetings will be held July 14. The assembly will end with a union Lord’s supper service July 15, Dr. Bruce Kershner of the Butler University School of Religion presiding. Two hundred and forty Marion County deacons, pastors and elders will take part. The oldest historical diamond known was worn by Charles the Bold in a pendant set with three large rubies and four pearls.

Free Rides at Broad Ripple and Movies of Crowd Are Features. Fifteen hundred charter members of the All Kids Klub, the “safety first” fun lodge organized by the Indianapolis Times, enjoyed an outing at Broad Ripple Park, today. Free rides, free fun, a vaiideville show, and all the youngsters in tne movies—these were the highlights. Mayor L. Ert Slack addressed members on behalf of the city; Police Chief Claud Worley and Director of Safety Lieut. Frank Owen, told of the importance of faithful adhereence to the safety pledge of the club. Saturday there will be another big day for the youngsters. A surprise program is scheduled at the park. There will be plenty of fun for everyone, starting promptly at 10 a. m. WINS _ WAGER ON SMITH By the narrow margin of three hundredths of a per cent an Indianapolis man won a wager that A1 Smith would get a larger proportion of the votes at the Democratic national convention than Hoover did of the votes at the Republican national convention. Smith received 849 2-3 votes for President out of a total of 1,100, which figures out a percentage of 77.24. Hoover got 837 votes of a total of 1,084 which is a percentage of 77.21.
