This semi-annual conference for board, staff, and committee members will be in the form of a miniature national convention this year and a city-wide invitation has been offered the membership to spend the ' day at the Y. W. C. A. camp, and to participate in a program which will review the activities and to plan for future work. A national Y. W. C. A. leader, Mrs. H. L. Blood, Chicago, will speak on “Educational. Emphasis in Membership.” Mrs. Blood is vice president of the governing body of the Y. W. C. A. branches in Chicago and is chairman of the West Side branch. An evening meeting has been arranged, to which all membership committees, those in clubs and ’councils, have been invited, if they ! cannot attend the day sessions which begin at 10 a. m. Honor Prospective Students Girls who expect to go to Ward Belmont next year will be honor guests at the State alumnae luncheon of Ward Belmont to be held at the Columbia Club next Saturday, for which more than 200 invitations have been issued. Twenty northern Indiana chapters were represented at the district meeting in Gary. Mrs. James Crank - shaw, Ft. Wayne, State regent, addressed members at an informal luncheon. Seated at the honor guest table with the regent were: Mrs. John McFadden, northern district director; Mrs. Frank Sheehan, past president ol the Indiana Federation of Women's Clubs; Mrs. William F. Hodges, Gary Woman's Club president; Mrs. W. H. Matthew, past State regent; William Wirt, Gary schools superintendent, and Miss Kesiah Stright, regent of Pottawatomie chapter, Gary. A program was provided by a violin, clarinet and piano trio composed of Misses Rosamond and Margaret Martindale and Miss Dorothy Chadwick and vocal solos by Mrs. Lucy Hrerick Richardson. Four trumpeters, Jessie Dow,, Wilma Bond, Bartha Johnson and Grace Goodwin of the Emerson High School Girls’ Band gave the formal opening with bugle calls. Sorority Confers Senior Degree on Honored Guests Preceding the luncheon given today by the Beta Beta alumnae of Alpha Chi for seniors in the Butler chapter at the chapter house, 33 S. Y. W. C.A. Members to Open Camp MRS. WALTER S. GREENOUGH, of Indianapolis, State president of the Indiana Leage of Women Voters, will entertain members of the board of directors of the league at her home Wednesday. The May meeting of the board was held in Chicago at the time of the national convention of the league and the meeting next Wednesday will be in place of the July meeting. Plans for activity during the summer months will be presented lor action by the directors. Study groups on such active phases of the program as election laws, maternity and infancy hygiene, school attendance and child labor and the direct primary, will be formed during the summer. Tentative plans have been made for a State institute of government to be held in Indianapolis late in September at which the subject of a permanent registration law for Indiana will be discussed. Prof. Joseph P. Harris of the University of Wisconsin, expert on registration law legislation, and Walter Millard of the National Municipal League, have been suggested as speakers for the institute. Standing committee chairmen of the State league will discuss changes in their respective committee programs made at the national convention. Mrs. H. R. Misener,, Michigan City, will speak on the efficiency in government program; Mrs. Frank H. Streightoff, Indianapolis, education; Mrs. William S. Ehrich, Evansville, international co-opera-tion to prevent war; Mrs. Helene A. Guy, Remington, legal status of women; Mrs. Charles N . Teetor, Hagerstown, living costs; Miss Mary Lane, Indianapolis, child welfare, and Mrs. Edna M. Christian, Indianapolis, women in industry. Ways and means of realizing the goal of a 25 percent increase in all league activities which was accepted at the last meeting of directors will be discussed.

R. to the continental congress in Washington recently will be on the program for the meeting of the chapter Thursday at 2:30 p. m. at the chapter house. Miss Sims Wed in R ite at Church THE marriage of Miss Harriett Faye Sime, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George M. Sims, 259 N. Miley St., and James Harry Lambert, son of Mrs. Cora Lambert, 5407 N. Pennsylvania St., took place at 2:30 this afternoon at the Tabernacle Presbyterian Church. The Rev. J. Ambrose Dunkel performed the ceremony in the presence of the immediate families. Miss Helen Dietz and Miss Thelma Sheets attended the bride. Miss Dietz wore orchid georgette with orchid picture hat and carried pink roses and baby’s breath. Miss Sheets, in rose georgette arfd hat to match, carried Butterfly roses and baby’s breath. The bride wore a gown of white satin fashioned with tight bodice and bouffant skirt trimmed in lace and pearls. She wove a large white picture hat and carried a shower bouquet of bride’s roses and lilies of the valley. Raymond Dietz was best man. The ballroom and reception parlor of the Marott Hotel were arranged with pink roses, sweet peas and palms for the reception for 100 guests which followed the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Lambert left immediately for a motor trip to New York and Montreal and will sail June 14 for Europe. After Aug. 15 they will be at home at 5407 N. Miss Ida Hert Becomes Bride in Church Rite Miss Ida Hert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry J. Hert, 441 Dorman St., and Harvey N. Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Brazier Brown, were married at 8 Friday night at the Roberts Park M. E. Church. The Rev. E. W. Dunlavy officiated. Mrs. William Johnson, the bride’s only attendant, wore pink georgette and carried Killarney roses John Lowry was best man. The bride wore dress of white georgette and net with a veil caught with orange blossome. She carried white roses and valley lilies. A small reception at the church followed the service. Mr. and Mrs. Brown have gone on a motor trip east, the bride traveling in a tan tweed ensemble with hat to match. They will be at home after June 10 at 756 Carlisle Pi.
