This week’s twenty prize recipes of Times readers are printed below. Send in your favorite and newest spring dish to the recipe editor, to compete for the Friday dollar prizes or the daily awards. The legibility of copy is a deciding factor when winners are chosen, so type or print recipes whenever possible. Checks are mailed two weeks after publication.

Corn-Filled Green Peppers Parboil green peppers and fill each with two tablespoons cooked com, tablespoon minced ham, me teaspoon melted butter, one tablespoon milk, salt to taste, top with cracker crumbs and bake in moderate oven. Tremont Ave. Raisin Drop Cakes One cup granulated sugar, onethird cup of butter, two eggs, onethird cup of milk, lemon rind grated, one cup cun-ants, two and one-half cups flour, with two level teaspoons of baking powder. Note—Grease pans and drop in small spoonfuls an inch apart. Bake in moderate oven. EILEEN PATCH. R. R. H., Box 410, Pleasant Run Blvd. Cheese Ring One cup of cheese, two teaspoonfuls of peppers, chopped, one of gelatine, add salt and paprki, one pint of whipped cream. Strain the cottage cheese several times until smooth. Use either one or half of each kind. Season to taste. Dissolve gelatine in a little cold water and beat all together until light. Place in ring mold, let stand to harden and chill. Remove from mold, place bowl of oil mayonnaise in center and surround with any desired fruit salad. PAULINE CRIDER. 1117 Ninth St., Columbus, Ind. Spaghetti Salad Cook one box spaghetti until tender, drain and stir in six hard boiled chopped eggs, one chopped onion, two stalkes diced celery, four canned pimentoes, salt and pepper, and two tablespoons thousand island dressing. Sprinkle with brown sugar and pieces of butter. Then put in a layer of sweet potatoes, sliced thin. Season with a little salt. Continue to alternate layers until dish is filled. Cover and put in slow oven until potatoes are soft. If the apples are well absorbed by the potatoes that is as it should be. Cover- with marshmallows and ret -n to the oven to brown. Rhubarb Pudding Cover bottom of pudding dish with layer of sliced and buttered bread dipped in milk. Cover with thick layer of rhubarb, bits of butter, sugar and sprinkling of nutmeg. Add second layer of both is dish permits. Bake and serve with pudding sauce. MRS. MINNIE TILNEY. 208 N. Pine St., Crawfordsville, Sweet Corn Bread Two cups cornmeal, one cup flour, one cup sugar, two teaspoons baking powder, pinch of salt one and'onethird cup sweet milk one egg, one tablespoon lard. Mix dry ingredients and add milk. Melt lard and mix with that. Bake in hot oven in well greased pan. FERN CLINE. Roachdale, Ind. Strawberry Shortcake Sift’ one cup flour, two teaspoons baking powder, one-fourth teaspoon salt, two tablespoons sugar and mix as for pie. Add beaten egg and one-half cup milk to this. Bake in greased cake pan in hot oven for ten minutes. Split, spread with butter and berries and serve with whipped cream. MRS. MINTA J. HENDRICKSON. 1502 Edgemont Ave., city. Chipped Beef Salad Mix one-half pound beef torn in

small pieces with one and one-half cups diced celery, six chopped sweet pickles and one cup pecan nut meaas finely chopped. Stir mayonnaise in thoroughly, chill and serve on lettuce leaves. MRS. C. M. SCOBBIE. Bainbridge, Ind. Spinach Mold Cook spinach thoroughly, drain and put through fine hair-sieve. Add two tablespoons butter, salt and pepper seasoning, one-half pint cream and four beatenvegg whites. Bake in oven in buttered molds, place ifi a pan of water. Serve with cream or brown sauce. MRS. CLARICE STONE. 5115 Carvel Ave., city. Pickled Asparagus Boil desirable amount of asparagus tips until tender with one teaspoon sa't and one-half cup vinegar to every pound of vegetable. Corn Custard Melt two tablespoons fat in sauce pan and add two tablespoons green peppers, one stalk celery and one small onion, all finely chopped. Qook five minutes and add one can corn, two pimentos, one and onefourth teaspoon salt, one-eighth teaspoonful white pepper, three beaten eggs and one pint milk. Mix and bake in a dish set in water. MRS. LOTTIE M. RISER. Cumberland, Ind. New Potatoes Boil scooped out balls of new potatoes in salt water with sprigs of mint. Drain and add three tablespoons melted butter, one tablespoon lemon juice and one tablespoon chopped parsley. Toss about in pan and serve hot. ANITA WARNER. St. Paul, Ind. Lemon Butter Six well beaten eggs,, one-fourth pound butter, one pound sugar, juice and grated outer rind of three lemons. Mix and cook in double boiler. Serve with hot biscuits or fritters. MRS. IDA NAVE. Rising Sun, Ind. Rhubarb-Raisin Pie Cook two and one-half cups chopped rhubarb with one cup raisins and one cup water. Mix two tablespoons flour, three-fourths cup sugar, one-half teaspoon salt and add to rhubarb and raisins. Cool, pour in crust and bake thirty minutes. JOYCE GUERNSEY. Brookville, Ind. Tomato Cup Pineapple Salad Scoop out centers of large tomatoes and fill with mixture of chopped pineapple mixed with French dressing and lemon juice. Italian-American Sjinach One pint cooked spinach, onefourth teaspoon pepper, one-half cu chopped bacon or ham, one-half teaspoon salt, three-fourths cup bread crumbs, six eggs, one-half cup grated cheese. Season one pint cooked spinach and add chopped bacon and crumbs. Mix and place in greased casserole. Drop eggs in depressions in spinach, sprinkle with cheese, chopped tomatoes and bake. MRS. C. FERRY. R. ft. 5, Box 649, city. Stuffed Cherry Salad One cream cheese cake, one-third cup chopped nuts, one-eighth teaspoon salt, thirty-six large cherries. Mash cheese well with nuts and salt and shape into small rolls. Remove pits from berries and stuff with cheese rolls. Arrange six on lettuce on individual plates and cover with mayonnaise and nuts. MISS NORMA PAYNE. 2104 English Ave., city. Spiced Rhubarb Skin and cut three pounds rhubarb stalks and mix with two pounds sugar, one cup vinegar, one teaspoon cinnamon, one-half teaspoon cloves. PICKS HEADQUARTERS Watson to Open Offices in Kansas City. Convention headquarters for Senator James E. Watson, Indiana's “favorite sob” candidate for the Republican presidential nomination, will be opened next week in the President Hotel, Kansas City, M. Bert Thurman, Watson’s campaign manager said today. Thurman will go to the convention city Wednesday to set up Watson’s headquarters and lay plans for his campaign in the convention, which opens Tuesday, June 12. Thirty-three Indiana delegates, pledged, by virtue of Watson’s primary victory over Herbert C. Hoover, to support the Senator, include Governor Ed Jackson who was prevented from addressing the Republican State Convention at the insistence of Watson forces. Jackson, denied a place on Indiana's “big seven” delegation through Watson opposition, was elected a delegate by the Coffincontrolled Seventh district organization.
