BIDS ASKED ON BUTLER CAMPUS PAVEMENT LINK Cost of Forty-Sixth St. Surface to Be $36,300, Engineer Estimates. Bids for paving Forty Sixth St., between Boulevard PI. and Sunset Ave., the main entrance to Butler University at Pairview, were advertised for by the board of public works today. The street has been widened to a foryt-eight foot roadway and eighty foot property line in condemnation proceedings adopted some time ago. City Engineer A. K. Moore estimated it will cost $36,300 to pave the street. Contracts for concrete paving were let on Leland St., between Pratt and Tenth Sts., and Pomandei PI. between Crescent St. and Barnes Ave. The $3,755 contract on Leland was awarded to William D. Vogel Company and the Pomander improvement to W. C. Halstead for $6,028. Lelnd is to be finished Aug. 15 and ! Pomander, July 15.
