All you song writers ought to get busy when you hear this news. A chance to win some easy money for a few minutes effort, really pleasant effort, for all you have to do is write anew chorus for “Ramona.” The Indianapolis Times, in connection with Loew’s Palace Theater, decided that something should be done about it, so they give the readers a chance to win some cash prizes, amounting to SSO. „
Dolores Del Rio plays the part of “Ramona” In the picture of that name, which opens Saturday at the Palace. Every one everywhere is singing and humming the melody of the song “Ramona.” If you don't know the tune, ask your friends. The song “Ramona” is the major theme of the music accompaniment to the picture, and after you see the picture what could be easier than sitting down with a pencil and dashing off a chorus or two? There are a few simple rules to follow to get these prizes and here they are: The contest opens today and closes officially at midnight, next Wednesday, May 30. The chorus must be written around the moving picture which is to be at Loew’s Palace. Verses for the chorus may be mailed anytime from now until midnight of May 30, to the Chorus Editor of The Indianapolis Times. Send as many as you want. The results will be announced later. Here are the prizes: For the best original chorus $25, for the second best sls and for the third $lO. It's easy money and it ought to be easy to win. Look at the picture, sit down and think and then write k bushel of verses. The more you write the more you may win. Just send them to the Chorus Editor care of The Indianapolis Times. RECEIVER IS NAMED FOR OPTICAL COMPANY Ward H. Hackleman Appointed by Judge Mahlon E. Bash. A receivership suit brought by Vonnegut Hardware Company against the Continental Optical Corporation of Delaware in Marion County Probate Court Thursday is a “friendly suit to reorganize the company finances and maintain production of bifocal lenses at the plant here,” Continental officials announced.
