Club Groups Will Meet Next Week MRS. LOUISE SWAIN, Pendleton, will talk on ‘‘Birds of Our Door Yard.’’ at Ihe meeting of the American home department of the Woman’s Department Club Wednesday at 2 p. m. at the club house. Mrs. E. W. Stockton will sing, accompanied by Mrs. M. D. Didway. Following the program, tea will be served by the following committee: Mrs. G. W. Seaton, chairman; Mesdames A. C. Barbour, Emma A. The Monday Guild, a section of the Community Welfare Department of the Woman’s Department Club, whose membership is composed of sightless women, will meet at the club house at 2 p. m. Monday. The program will be devoted to the subject of health, with Dr. Maude Arthur and Dr. D. C. Barnhill as speakers. Mrs. Frederick Terry is chairman of hostesses. Mrs. Othniel Hitch is chairman of the guild. The sandwich luncheon for all members of the Department Club which was announced for Tuesday has been postponed one week. It will be held April 3 at the club house. State Fete Being Held by Phi Mu THE annual State luncheon of Phi Mu Sorority was held today in the Travertine room of the Hotel Lincoln, to be followed by the State dance at the hotel tonight. One hundred and fifty members of the sorority attended the luncheon. The luncheon tables were arranged with flowers and balloons in the sorority colors, rose and white. The program included: “Hits and Misses of Hanover,” Marjorie Heberhart; readings, Laura Lackey: violin solo, Marjorie Wilson; songs by Phil Mu freshmen from Indiana University and a sketch, “Lindy's Last Flight,” by freshmen of Hanover College. Toasts were given by Mrs. Mildred Clymer Ploughe, “Spirit of Phi Mu;” Miss Juanita Bratton, “Designer and Builders;” Mrs. Hester Hill Coffin, “Flying Field;” Miss Marjorie Heberhart, “Flight of 1913;” Mrs. Gladys Snyder Caca, “Flight of 1920;” Miss Clara Fedler, “Control Stick,” and Miss Lucile Anderson, “Famous Phi Mu Aces.” Chaperones for the dance will include Mrs. Anna Roseborough, Miss Clara Fedler. Society Begins Spring Exodus to French Lick li'i Times (Special FRENCH LICK SPRINGS, March 24. —Society is moving from Palm Beach and other southern resorts to French Lick Springs and other northern health and pleasure places. With the warmer days of March, arrivals are larger at the Springs, with a large number from Florida and California resorts. Hoosiers are making reservations for the Easter period. Amateur golf tourneys have been arranged for the period with putting and approaching contests for women on the miniature course. Indiana librarians are making reservations for the convention of the American Library Association to be held at French Lick and West Baden May 28 to June 2. Grace Nixon of the State Library, Indianapolis, and Miriam Netter of the Warsaw public library, made reservations this week. Mrs. Joseph M.
