In.the Stock Market 'By Thomson & McKinnoni iNEW YORK, March 19.—The ranks of sold out bulls have diminished lately as one by one found justification for current stock market activity and rising price levels in nearly all trade reports whether basic industry or retail trade. .Even the weaker industries show signs of perking up and this factor forecasts, we think, an expanding market as interest is widened. The money situation appears strong as a greater number of corporations find working capital in excess of requirements. Hence, seek employment for such funds either by purchasing high grade securities or loaning it on call. This purchasing of securities by corporations is worthy of serious consideration as it tends to reduce floating supply of stocks and icmoves pressure to a great extent. dolyn Bell. 6A. 2903 N. March • 19.—Restrictive measures in the sugar industry has already raised the Question as to whether the allotment of 3,300,000 tons allocated bv Cuban interests to the United States will be sufficient to cover requirements/ for the coming year. Instead of an oversupplv. the trade Is now discussing an opposite situation and with enthusiasm growing in London sugar circles fundamentals give indications of favoring substantially higher prices for sugar. We believe materially higher prices for futures are in prospect.

Bn l niti and Press CHICAGO, March 19.—Reports or heavy export sales over the weekend, combined with a 14 to 2 cent advance in tlie cash market sent Chicago com futures sharply higher again today. Wheat and oats advanced with com, but profit-taking, which developed in all pits held down their advances. Seaboard dispatches indicated continued export business in com. The light receipts coupled with good demand, sent cash com into a surprising bulge, and the futures market had little opposition in following the upturn. Higher Liverpool market, exports of 1.000.000 bushels and some reports of damage to winter wheat where the bullish influences in wheat. Profit-taking, however, was heavy in this pit, and the gains were not all held. Small advances in oats were made mostly on the fact that last week’s export business was heaviest of the season.
