Delta Zeta of State in Annual Fete | THE thirteenth ann ua 1 luncheon and dance of Delta Zeta Sorority was held today at the Columbia Club, with the Indianapolis alumnae chapter members acting as hostess. The dance and card party will be held in the dining room tonight. As the guests were invited into the luncheon, a loud ringing of the Delta Zeta convention special train bell announced the special. On the stage at the end of the ballroom wes the observation coach of the train, filled with girls enroute to the convention. Delta Zeta pep songs and yells were inspiring while the guests found theirp laces. Two small boys from the Marion County Colored Orphans’ Home acted as porters on the special. The engineers wore an engineer's cap and announced each speaker with the ringing of the bell. Trains Marked Places Covers for 300 guests were laid at small tables decorated with small bud of roses and ferns. The places were marked with black trains containing the menu and program, and also full expense data on the convention trip. Small hat boxes, suit cases, bags and traveling accessories were used as nut cups, and the place cards were railroad sign posts. Seated at the speakers’ table were Mrs. T. E. Music by Trio During the luncheon an instrumental trio fromm Grcencastel, DePauw chapter, dressed in old-fash-ioned costumes, gave a program and at intervals Delta Zeta songs were nung. Mrs. T. E. Grinslade, president of alumnae, opened the meeting with a greeting, which was followed by Delta songs. Tire program for the afternoon was designed to arouse enthusiasm for the national convention which will be held in Rigwin Inn, Lake of Bays, Ontario, Canada, July 9 to 14. Mrs. Grinslade acted as toastmistress or engineer of the convention special. Responses were given by Miss Florence Fox, Greencastle, the fireman, on “Steam My Delta Z Lady”; Miss Helen Linkenhelt, Franklin chapter, as conductor; Miss Juanita Carnelly, Bloomington, as baggage car agent; Miss Pearl Bartley, Butler University, on diner-steward; Miss Virginia Jack- ' son, Ft. Wayne, observation car. Following the toasts a stunt called “The Stop-Over” was given by members of the active chapters. Epsilon chapter, Indiana University, gave the act called “Red Caps”; Delta chapter, DePauw, gave “Porters”; Psi chapter, Franklin College, gave “Professional Entertainers on Delta Beta Convention Special." and Alpha Nil chapter from Butler University, gave “Delta Zeta Passengers.”

Hoosiers Begin Annual Journey to French Lick Bp Times Special FRENCH LICK, Ind., March 17. Coincident with celebration of St. Patrick's day and the parties with Gaelic flavor, is the formal opening of the so-called spring season at the French Lick Springs hotel. Many Indianapolis and Indiana persons have made reservations at French Lick for their regular visits. For them the Easter period is a popuicx time. The period of the running of the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs, May 19, is popular also with Indianapolis folks, who enjoy the races along with their French Lick activities. Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Carlin have made their usual May reservation, as has Mrs. Carlin's brother, Bernie Kirschbaum. Mr. and Mrs. Jess Mossier, will come in May. He is secretary of the Indiana State Golf Association and while here will likely set dates for the play of the state golf championship in August on the Hills course. Mr. and Mrs. Max Adler, South Bend, have arrived for a sojourn at •the springs. Mr. and Mrs. W. D. O’Brien, also South Bend, have returned home after a fortnight. Mr. and Mrs. N. A. Davis, Indianapolis, have been spending their honeymoon here, along with honeymoonera from other sections of the country. Irish Music on Program of Luncheon IRISH melodics on Ihe harp and Irish solos will be given as the program for the sandwich luncheon of the music section of the Woman’s Department. Fraternity Will Hold State Fete M RS. CHARLES A HARRIS. national vice president of the Kappa Kappa Gamma women's college fraternity, and Mrs. R. D. Caiman, West Lafayette, Delta province president, of the fraternity, ■nil! be honor guests and speakers at the annual State luncheon of the fraternity next Saturday in the Riley room of the Claypool. The dance will be held in the same room at night. Mrs. Howe Stone Landers, president of the Indianapolis Kappa Alumnae association, will preside at the luncheon which is in charge of a committee composed of Mrs. Ronald R. Scott, chairman: Mrs. William H. Remy. Mrs. Robert M, Brewe, Mrs. Charles L. Sergeant, Miss Martha, Belle Pierce and Miss Ruth Allee. Reservations may be made with Mrr.
