GIRL ROUTS INTRUDER Throws Furniture When Her Fists Fail. Miss Vivian Vaughn, 15, of Kentucky, who is visiting her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Collins, 4707 E. Twenty-First St., routed a man from the house by throwing furniture at him when her fists failed late Thursday. She told police the man asked for Collins. When he learned Collins was not home he forced his way into the house and demanded money. Miss Vaughn said he hurled her to the floor, but by using her fists she broke away from him. She said she struck the intruder with a table lamp, and when he attacked her with a knife she picked up a smoking stand and struck him on the head. The intruder fled.
