WATSON LIKELY TO FACE BORAH QUIZ ON BOOZE Indiana Senator in Line for Questionnaire as to Dry Law Stand. By Times Special WASHINGTON, FEB. 17.—Senator Watson of Indiana, as an avowed presidential candidate, soon will have to answer four very pertinent questions regarding prohibition, if Senator Borah of Idaho pursues the same course toward Watson as he has toward other presidential candidates. Borah, however, has not yet indicated that he thinks Watson enough of a candidate to have addressed to him the prohibition inquiry already made to Senator Willis of Onto, Senator Curtis of Kansas and Herbert Hoover, although nearly a week has gone past since Watson’s informal announcement. Borah is expected soon to write. However, and if he writes as he did to the other three, Watson will be required to answer the following questions: 1 “Do you favor incorporating in the next national Republican platform a plank specifically referring to the Eighteenth Amendment and pledging the candidates and the party to a vigorous and faithful enforcement and to the laws enacted to carry into effect the constitutional amendment? 2. “What is your attitude and what would be your attitude toward the amendment and its enforcement, if you are nominated and elected? 3. “Do you favor the enactment into law of the principle embodied in the New York referendum that Congress should modify the federal act to enforce the Eighteenth Amendment so that the same shall not prohibit the manufacture, sale, transportation, importation, or exportation of beverages which are not
GOES DOWN TOWN FOR FIRST TIME IN FIVE WEEKS Capitol Avenue Lady Indorses the New Konjola Medicine; “It Is Wonderful,” She Says. statements are from Indianapolis residents alone. Many appear in the papers day after day, taut it is impossible to publish them all. There is only one reason for the great success of Konjola—and that is merit. This medicine actually is helping thousands in this vicinity. Konjola acts upon the inner system (stomach, liver, kidneys and bowels). It cleanses and invigorates these organs of the system to better activity, thus bringing new feelings of health over the body in general. One of the latest Indianapolis residents to indorse Konjola is Mrs. Etta Burris, address 634 North Capitol Ave., this city. Her report was given to the Konjola Man in person at the Hook Drug Store, Illinois and Washington Sts., Indianapolis, where he is meeting large crowds daily. “I willingly indorse Konjola as a wonderful health-builder,” said Mrs. Burris. “It is restoring my health after all other remedies failed. While I am not well yet, I have received so much benefit that I feel it is my duty to tell others. Mine was a case of nervous prostration. At times I would feel as though someone would grab me and murder me. People who have never been in such a condition cannot begin to realize what my condition really was. At times I was so nervous that it seemed that my breathing would be stopped. I was unable to work at any kind of work for over a year. During that time I spent fifteen weeks in a hospital. I also had severe pains in the stomach, which w'as so terrible I could hardly stand them. I was also constipated and was very dizzy. “I began taking Konjola and although it worked very slowly in my case, I gradually became stronger and today I came to town, something I have been unable to do for five woeks. I am improved in general and am still taking Konjola, believing that it will in time restore me to perfect health. The benefit I derived through use of it already means much to me and I highly recommend it to others.” The Konjola Man is at the Hook Drug Store, Illinois and Washington St*., Indianapolis, where he is daily meeting the public and introducing and explaining the merits of this remedy.—Advertisement.

BOULDER DAM FIGHTIMPENDS Power Lobby Ready to War on Measure. By Times Special WASHINGTON, Feb. 17.—The Boulder Dam bill, one of the three major items against which the seventeen million dollar private power lobby is training its guns this winter, faces a bitter fight in the Senate. Over this measure, the second power battle of the session will probably be waged. While the vote by which the Walsh power resolution went down to defeat was not a fair forecast of strength for and against the SwingJolinson Boulder Dam bill, it indicated the growth in strength this year of the power lobby, and made it evident that the Johnson bill, if it passes at all, will do so only with the narrowest kind of margin. While Walsh lost some votes because of anti-Catholic fear that he will become a strong presidential candidate, and because of offense taken by some southern Democrats at his recent remarks about the Civil War, still the greater part of
