Stars Now Willing to Play in Zone Net Bosses Choose. By United Press NEW YORK, Feb. 14.—William T. Tilden and Francis T. Hunter, members of the 1927 Davis Cup teams, are willing to play in the American or European zone, according to the wishes of the Davis cup committee, but not in both. The pair sought to have the United States challenge for the Davis cup in the European zone, and when they failed announced they would not be available for the American Davis cup team in this zone. They contend the team which represents this country in Europe should have a substantial period of conditioning abroad. What Decision Means Their latest decision to play in the American zone may mean they eventually will give up their plans for having the United States team go through a training period in Europe, provided this country wins in the American zone and play in the inter zone finals, and if successful, against France in the challenge round. At the meeting of the United States Lawn Tennis Association at ; Chicago, Hunter presented a petition I formulated by Tilden and himself | requesting that two teams be named. All-Star Selection

Their plan is for one team to play in the American zone and the other in the European zone with the ultimate team to be selected from the entire squad after the American zone play is over. The U. S. L. T. A. recommended the resolution to the Davis cup committee for consideration. America’s first match in the American zone is with Mexico, and, according to Hunter, it will be played in Mexico City some time in April. RENFRO FLYER CHAMP Montana Trap Star Annexes Honors in K. C. Bud Westhus of St. Louis was out in front today as the western threecushion tournament of the Amateur Billiard Association of America was resumed at Harry Cooler’s parlors and the Columbia Club. The big boy from St. Louis had two victories to his credit and was scheduled for another match tonight. Louis Vogier, with only one victory in the opening schedule Monday, was the most impressive player of the field, however, and gave hope to Indianapolis fans that he might capture the big silver trophy for a year. Westhus won the feature game Monday when he came out of a 44 to 36 hole and scored 14 points in his last seven innings to defeat W. C. Nusbaum, Indianapolis, 50 to 48, in seventy-eight innings. Nusbaum shot the game that won him many Indiana titles years ago and it took all the comeback the St. Louis star could muster to stave him off. Westhus had a high run of four and Nusbaum a run of five. Westhus shot twenty-two points in his last twenty innings to beat Ellis

i Johnston, Chicago, 50 to 40, in eighty-three innings in an earlier match. Westhus had a high run of four to Johnston’s three. Harry Rubens, Indianapolis, was an easy winner over Nusbaum at the Columbia Club, 50 to 38, in eighty-two innings. Rubens had a high run of four and Nusbaum three. Vogier shot with the precision of a rifle to win from F. S. Goodman, Detroit, 50 to 36, in seventy innings. Vogier led all the way, a high run of six just about clinching the victory. Goodman shot a four. The Detroiter is a left hander and uses an .open bridge. Dr. Harris shot like the champion he happens to be against Harry W. Downs, Minneapolis, to win 50 to 33 in ninety-five innings. It was slow time because Downs shot many deliberate safeties when hopelessly beaten. Beaten 21 to 9, and 41 to 31, Johnston made a fine rally at the Columbia Club at night and won from Goodman, 50 to 48 in eightyeight innings. He had a high run of three to Goodman’s four. Goodman shot well until near the end.

Prince Albert! That’s living! You’ll go to It from breakfast to bedtime. Prince Albert leads all other brands in sales, because it leads in satisfaction. The word "satisfaction” has worn a little thin from much use, but a pipe and P.A. give it an entirely new meaning. You’ll say so on your very first pipe-load, and you’ll be a Prince Alberteer after that!
