ONE of the greatest musical treats ever presented over the radio will be offered during the third Victor hour at 9 tonight when Mme. Galli-Curci, soprano of the Metropolitan Opera Company and one of the greatest coloraturas of all time, will make her radio debut. On the same program Pablo Casals, internationally famous ’cellist, will appear, and an added feature will be the Victor orchestra. The bi-oadcast will be heard from WJZ New York, and associated stations of the NBC Vlue chain, listed in Dial Twisters. The popular Harmony Four of Indiana Central College will be featured again in the Phoenix Coffee hour at 8 tonight, broadcast over WFBM, Indianapolis. The Phoenix Coffee Trio will assist in the program given below: “Premier Amour” Benoist Trio. “In the Gloaming.” “Juanita.” Harmony Four. Impressionable and highly Imaginative radio listeners who cannot sleep after reading an exciting pirate yarn or a vivid crime story, are advised not tune in on WGY, Schenectady, at o6:30 tonight. At that time husky voiced seamen will be singing the popular pirate song “Fifteen Men on a Dead Man’s Chest,” as little Jim Hawkins scurries about filling glasses with fiery rum. With this song and rum accompaniment, the WGY Players will present the first of three episodes of Robert Louis Stevenson’s “Treasure Island.” Frank Oliver, director of the WGY Players, has prepared “Treasure Island" for ra‘dio production. He appeared many years on sjie stage andrhis experience included several

performances of the Stevenson story. Mr. Oliver has been with the WGY Players since their organization in 1923, and he has made a thorough stoudy of the special requirements of the radio production. In “Treasure Island,” he finds a plot especially adapted for air performance. The three episodes will be presented on successive Friday evenings. A brief selection from Victor Herbert’s operetta, “The Prima Donna,” has been included by Rosario Bourdon, conductor of the Cities Service Orchestra, in the program of the Cities Service Orchestra for NBC Red network listeners at 7 tonight.
