BLOATING SPELLS AND INDIGESTION PAINS ALL ENDED Indianapolis Citizen Tells How the New Konjola Banished His Stomach Troubles. “After the wonderful way Konjola ended my stomach trouble and restored my health in general, I want to indorse such a medicine to others,” said Mr. Charles R. Finley, widely known Indianapolis citizen, living at 134 E. Twenty-Second St., this city, in a statement made just

ii few days ago about this remarkable new medicine, Konjola, which is now being introduced and explained to large crowds of people by The Konjola Man in person at the Hook Drug Store, Illinois & Washington Sts., Indianapolis. "For the past few years my health etemed to be getting worse all the time,” continued Mr. Finley. “The Condition of my stomach was so bad that bloating spells and indigestion pains came over me just as regular as I ate. I had no desire for food and what little I managed to eat always brought on miseries of the worst kind. It seemed like a heavy weight centered in the pit of my stomach, and then a feeling like a tight rope was drawn around my waist. The pains felt like sharp knives gouged into my sides and back. “I decided to try Konjola, and at the very start, this medicine made me rest a great deal better at nights, and I noticed I had a real desire for food and everything tasted right. In a very little while the indigestion pains were entirely gone and all the other miseries disappeared. Now I don’t have pain's of any kind, and I can enjoy a full size meal without hardly knowing I ate a thing. I feel better in every way than I have in several years, I don’t think there is another medicine in the world that could make such a change in a person like Konjola, and since I have taken this new remedy, it seems only right to indorse it to everyone.” Kor.jcia is not a cure-all, not a pill or japsule, but a remarkable liquid compound which contains juices extracted from twenty-two of Nature’s finest medicinal roots and herbs. These cleanse and invigorate the inner organs (stomach, liver, kidneys and bowels), to more healthy, normal action, thus bringing new feelings of health over the system in general in a natural and 6afe way. The Konjola Man is at Hook’s Drug Store, Illinois & Washington Sts., Indianapolis, where he is daily meeting the public and introducing and explaining the merits of this remedy. Konjola is sold in all Hook stores in this city and by all druggists throughout this section.— Advertisement.

TAKE SALTS IF STOMACH ISN’T ACTING RIGHT Says Indigestion Results from an Excess of Hydrochlorio Acid. Undigested food delayed In the stomach decays, or rather ferments, the same as food left in the open air, says a noted authority. He iHso tells us that Indigestion is caused by Hyperacidity meaning there is an excess of hydrochloric acid in the stomach which prevents complete digestion and starts food fermentation. Thus everything eaten sours in the stomach, forming acrid fluids and gases which inflate the stomach like a toy balloon. Then we feel a heavy, lumpy misery in the chest; we belch up gas; we eructate sour food or have heartburn, flatulence, water-brash or nausea. He tells us to lay aside all digestive aids and instead get from any pharmacy four ounces of Jad Salts and take a tablespoonful in a glass of water before breakfast and drink it while it is effervescing and further more, to continue this for a week. While relief often follows the first does, it is important to help neutralize the acidity, remove the gasmaking mass, start the liver, stimulate the kidneys and thus promote a free flow of pure digestive juices. Jad Salts is inexpensive and is mac’- irom the acid of grapes and lemon juice, combined with litlua and sodium phosphate. This harmless salts is used-for many stomach disorders with excellent results.— Advertisement.

WOMAN DIES IN 14-FLOOR JUMP Weary of Business Career, Takes Her Life. Hu United Press NEW YORK, Jan. 19.—Only a few minutes after telling two friends how glad she would be to return to her Tennessee home, Miss Stella Loeb, wearied by an arduous business career in New York, jumped from her fourteenth floor apartment and was killed. Miss Loeb, who came to the city four years ago to become a buyer in a large department store, had resigned her position ancl packed her bags to take the next train to Kenton, Tenn. Wishing to say farewell to two woman friends, she invited them to have tea with her in the apartment just before train time. They sat chatting for an hour or two. Miss Loeb telling her guests how happy she was to get away from the bustle of the city. When the time came to leave, she went into the bedroom, presumably to get her hat, coat and travelling bags. A minute later one of her friends followed her into the room. She found Miss Loeb sitting in the window, her body slipping out. Screaming an appeal not to jump, the friend tried frantically to reach her in time to pull Miss Loeb away, but was too late. ‘TRUSTIES’ UNDER FIRE Act as Dope Smugglers in United States Prisons, Says Congressmen. Growing Children
sometimes require a tonic as do their elders
The physical welfare of the child is being given more attention by school authorities. Failure to keep up with class work and absence from school is probably due to a nervousness and run-down condition that may be largely attributed to a deficiency in red blood cells.

GIVE your child the right chance to develop, and you will not reget it in later years. Many children become under-nourished due to lack of appetite. Keep the appetite keen. Food nourishes the body and makes it grow. Also watch Nature’s warning for changes in the system. Skin troubles—pimples, boils and that sallow complexion—all foretell a body weakness. In such cases, S.S.S. is the proper tonic. It improves the appetite; helps Nature build rich, red blood cells—those vitalizing ele-
