BECAUSE of the great interest aroused among listeners by the playing of Arthur Honegger’s “Pacific 231” during the recent RCA Hour, Walter Damrosch has decided to repeat this selection during the program by the New York Symphony Orchestra through stations associated with the NBC Blue network, tonight at 7. “Pacific 231” takes its inspiration from a modern French locomotive. It is a musical representation of a locomotive in action. Hundreds of letters were written to Dr. Damrosch about the work when tt was first performed. A few condemned it but the majority expressed eagerness to hear it again. Some o? the locksmiths of the Middle Ages did very beautiful work and made ingenious structures which, however, could not resist master keys. Some of these mediaeval locks are monsters in size, with koys two or three feet long. Others, made with crude handmade tools, are beautiful miniature locks, with kdys a half inch long.
