THE Baldwin Piano Company submits an elaborate Christmas program tonight on the Baldwin hour at 7:30 over WFBM, Indianapolis. The Christ Church male choir of fifty voices, under the direc- * tion of Cheston Heath, choirmaster and organist, will sing a program of t Christmas numbers. This choir is one of the outstanding male choirs * of the city and State, and has developed a gratifying ensemble, since 1 its initial appearance scarcely a i year and *a half ago. An hour of popular dance music rd light opera selections, will be Kisented from WFBM, Indianapor by the Willys-Knights, tonight i 9:30. The program .includes two
very hot dance selections: “Clementine From New Orleans” and “Go Joe Go.” A fine vocal trio arrangement is given with “Barbara” and “Bye Bye Pretty Baby.” The Christmas program for Genefral Motors, beginning at 8:30 this evening, will include specially selected and arranged music for the Yuletide season by a band and a symphony orchestra, with Merle Alcock, the famous Metropolitan contralto, as the vocal star of the entertainment. It will be broadcast from the new studios of the National Broadcasting Company over a chain of twenty-seven stations, extending as far west as Omaha and Kansas City. In addition to Miss Alcock’s singing and to classical and popular music by the orchestra and band, the lively, joyous spirit of Christmas will be emphasized by selections by Joe Green’s marimbaJiand, which has already popularized itself in the General Motors program. “The Farewell March” from Joseph Joachim Raff’s “Leonore Symphony” will be heard during the hour of Slumber Music which will be broadcast by the NBC Blue network at 10 tonight from WJZ, New York.
