fcOTTO GIFTS TO Kith orphans V -—No. 3 Head—See Puzzle Rnnual Christmas Party to 1 Be Held Friday. 9 Sahara Grotto will entertain children of the Indianapolis Orphans Home with a Christmas party Friday night, featuring the personal appearance of Santa Claus. Following the custom, each child writes a letter to Santa Claus on Dec. 1 asking for their choice of gifts. The letters go to the Prophets who selecte the gifts. This year Mrs. Ctester O. Martin and Mrs. Othniel Hitch, wives of past monarchs, are Santa Claus’ aids. Grotto officers assisted by the Ladies Auxiliary have charge of the program which opens with the playlet “Santa Claus Land” by the pupiils of Mrs. Ruth Kersting. Sahar Buds dressed in costume will sing carols. Other entertainment will be given by the Ladies’ Auxiliary Quartet, composed of Mrs. Roy Albertson, Mrs. J. Larencn Wells, Harry Bolin and Le Roy Carpenter. Mrs. Harry Saunders will present a cornet quartet. D. E. Harker and his daughter, Florence, will give several violin and piano numbers. The committee in charge is composed of: Charles G. Walsh, chief justioe; Karl Erath, master of ceremonies: John H. Berling, secretary; C. C. Brautigan, treasurer: L. A. Williams, marshal; S. J. Fullem, captain of the guards; Kenneth E. Yates, orator, and the trustees, C. E. Robinson, Oliver R. Wald and Chester L. Martin.

Twenty-First St., reported today.

DEDICATE SCOUT HUT 200 Persons Attend Ceremony Held by Troop 69. The Utley Boy Scout hut of Troop 69, Thirty-Eighth St. and Boulevard PI., was dedicated Wednesday night. Two hundred persons attended the ceremonies. “It is fortunate that the community becomes conscious of the unity of its interests and makes possible such buildings as this,” Albert Stump, local attorney, the dedicatory speaker, said. Demonstrations of Scout work and presentations of awards to troop members followed a musical and entertainment program.
