Art Gallery Many Pictures Ready for Mayor’s Offices, But Wall Is Bare.
EHE faded green walls of the mayor’s office today were adorned by only two colored lars. The autographed photo of John L. Duvall, former mayor, which hung on the wall back of the executives desk, has been absent since Mayor Pro Tern. Claude E. Negley took office. Negley said he did not remove the picture. “Duvall probably took it when he got his personal belongings,” Negley said. Whose picture will adorn the wall after next Tuesday was a matter of speculation among city employes. _ Early in Duvall’s administration autographed pictures in a neal frame were placed in all executive offices. Today some of them had been taken down. But Duvall’s likeness still remained in the office of Dr. Herman G. Morgan, health secretary; Claude C. McCoy, safety board secretary; R. Walter Jarvis, parks superintendent, and City Purchasing Agent John J. Collins. A photo of Arthur R. Robinson, Junior United States Senator, hangs over the desk of Wayne Emmelman, works board secretary and Republican County committee secretary.
