ELECTRIC CHAIR TO RE COAL IN SHERJFFJIEATH Jwo Men Will Be Tried at Brookville for Slaying in 192a. By Times Special BROOKVILLE, Ind., Oct. 25 Eugene Webb and Burton Carter, serving terms of twenty-five years each in the Ohio State prison for bank robbery, wil! be tried in Franklin Circuit Court here during the November term on a charge of murdering Sheriff William Van Camp, Franklin county, Aug. 20, 1923. The death penalty will be asked for both men, each being indicted In the first-degree. Acting on a report that an attempt was to be made to rob a Brookville bank, Sheriff Van Camp began a search near the town and it was while thus engaged that he was slain. County authorities charge that Carter fired the fatal shot when the sheriff came upon him and Webb while they were hiding in a woods east of Brookville. Both accused men according to Prosecutor William Younts, have long criminal records. The bank robbery for which they are now serving terms was committed at Greenville, Ohio. Farmer Kills Self By Times Special LOGANSPORT, Ind., Oct. 25. William Cannon, 60, farmer north of here, is dead today, a suicide by hanging. He had been in ill health.

Attorneys and friends of Mrs. Catherine Cassler (above), have gained a stay of execution for 60 days, delaying her hanging at Chicago for the murder of William Lindstrom. She was to hang last Friday. B,y United Press 1 CASABLANCA, Morocco, Oct. 25. —A battalion of French Senegalese troops left today to rescue by force the six Europeans- held captive by hostile Moors at Beni Mellal. French authorities were hopeful that the abductors would be captured within a short time. The European prisoners held by the Moors are Yves Steeg, nephew of Theodore Steeg, French resident general in Morocco; Jean Maillet, Baroness Steinheil, Mme.
