Vassar Club to Have Tea for Visitor SHE Indiana Vassar Club will entertain at tea next Saturday from 3:30 to 5:30 p. m. at the home of Mrs. Henry D. Pierce, 1415 N. Meridian St., in honor of Miss Louise Seaman of New York City, head of the juvenile department of the McMillan Publishing Company, who is a Vassar graduate. Monday noon Miss Seaman will talk to the Woman’s Rotary Club and Monday afternoon will speak at the Junior league bookshop, of which Mrs. E. S. Gorrell is the manager. Mrs. Pierre Goodrich is president of the Vassar Club and she, with the other officers, will be hostesses for the tea. Miss Cerene Ohr is vice president; Mrs. Edward McNally, secretary, and Mrs. Wayne David Kinnaird, treasurer. * * * The public is invited to the annual display of garments collected by the Indianapolis branch of the Needlework Guild of America, which will be held Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church, Delaware and Sixteenth Sts. Tea will be served in the afternoon. Members are urged to send in completed garments by Tuesday. ** * Mr. and Mrs. Henry C. Local A. A. U. W. Meeting Nov. 1 to Hear Worker The date of the November meeting of the Indianapolis branch of the American Association of University Women has been changed to Nov. 1, when Miss Esther Caukins of national headquarters, Washington, D. C., will speak. Miss Caukins is national secretary of international relations, and has held the international scholarship at Vienna. She will talk on her experience there and at the opening of Crosby Hall, the English national headquarters. She will also speak on the relations of A. A. U. W. to the International Federation of Women. The session will be in the form of a supper meeting and will include members of the junior branch. It is to be at the Hoosier Athletic Club at 6 p. m.

Members’ Day to Be Inaugurated JVpIIIE Woman’s Department 111 Club will hold a general meeting at noon Tuesday at tho clubhouse when members’ day will' be observed. This is the first meeting of Its kind and has been instituted this year in order that members may meet and get better acquainted. The new members, known as Perkins members, are especially invited. Each person is to bring a sandwich and coffee will be provided at the clubhouse.
