KOKOMO WILL GREET MASONS OF 5 COUNTIES Seventh Regional Meeting of Scottish Rite to Be Held Tonight. The seventh regional meeting of the Scottish Rite Masons of Indiana will be held tonight at Kokomo as the final step in the campaign to acquaint out-State Master Masons with Scottish Rite work. \ Progress, of the new 53,500,000 cathedral on N. Meridian St. will be explained by Indianapolis members. Fred I. Willis, thrice potent master of Adoniram Grand Lodge of Perfection, is to be the principal speaker. David Heads Committee Cass, Howard, Hamilton, Clinton and Tipton County members have been invited. George L. Davis heads the special committee from Kokomo in charge of arrangements. The fall convocation will be held here Nov. 28 to Dec. 2, with the corner stone laying exercises Nov. 29. A special first class of candidates has been taking the work of succeeding Wednesday nights and will join with the second class for the ceremonies. Confer Historical Degrees Saraiah Council Princes of .Jerusalem degrees fifteen and sixteen, known as the historical and traditional degrees, were held Wednesday night. William D. McAbee, sovereign prince, conducted the fifteenth degree and Judge Clarence R. Morton conducted the following degree. Indiana chapter of Rose Croix degree seventeen and eighteen will be held Wednesday night. Candidates will assemble at 6:45 p. m. MOOSE IN CONVENTION Seventy-six Lodges’ Delegates Are in Evansville. By Timex Special EVANSVILLE, Ind., Oct. 21. Seventy-six lodges of the Loyal Order of Moose of Indiana are meeting here today in a three-day convention which closes Saturday. Initiation of a large class of candidates will be Saturday under Sunerviser T. A. Maholm and Homer Kinser, his assistant. M. M. Mahoney, Indianapolis, district supervisor of Indiana and vice president of the Indiana executive committee and Harry E. Ayer, deputy district supervisor, coached lodge members for the sessions. A. A. Millerm, secretary of Evansville Lodge No. 85, has charge of awards for drill teams, ritual teams and other contests. One of the more important business items to be settled is the plans for the Indiana Bldg., at Moosehaven, Fla., the home for the aged members of the order. A few years ago plans were completed for the erection of an Indiana building at Mooseheart, 111., home and vocation school for orphans for former members. A spirited fight Is expected over the 1928 conclave. Among cities seeking the honor are Gary, Hammond and Marion. Selection will be made today.

RED MEN END MEET Shelbyville Man Elected to Head Group. Installation of officers featured the closing session Wednesday morning of the fifty-eighth annual convention of the Improved Order of Red Men, Great Council of Indiana. New officers are Otis House, Shelbyville, Great Prophet; Albert H. Hausman, Indianapolis, Great Sachem; R. B. Whitten, Knightstown, Great Senior Sagamore; Eli G. Lee, Terre Haute, Great Junior Sagamore; Arch H. Hobbs, Indianapolis, Great Keeper of Records; H. C. Prehn, Indianapolis, assistant Great Keeper of Records; Frank Cleft, Mooresville, Great Guardian of Wigwams, and George Baldock, Hazelwood, Great Sannop. Delegates adopted a resolution authorizing appointment of a committee to investigate establishment of a home for aged and indigent and for orphans. A report is to be made at the next convention. LODGES MOURN FOR VICTIMS IN GROTTOCRASH Associated Fraternities and K. of/ C. Voice Expressions of Sympathy. Two fraternal organizations have adopted expressions of sympathy following the crossing crash Friday in which twenty persons were killed on their way to a social affair of the Sahara Grotto Blue Devil drill team. E. H. Palmer, president of the Associated Fraternities, says “The accident in which Sahara Grotto members and their wives and children lest their lives is the most disastrous and saddest loss ever sustained by a fraternal society in this part of the country. Sympathy Is Expressed “A number of the victims belonged to organizations affiliated 1 with the Associated Fraternities, so the loss of these fraternal men and women was felt more keenly by all fraternalists. Being a member of the Scotish Rite and the Mystic Shrine, and as president of the Associated Fraternities, I wish in the name of fraternalism to extend to the Sahara Grotto and all those who mourn this untimely departure, the sympathy and condolance of the twenty-eigfit fraternities affiliated with the Associated Fraternities.’
Knights Adopt Resolution The expression from the Indianapolis council of the Knights of Columbus reads, “The Indianapolis council feels very keenly the terrible blpw that fell so heavily on the families of those who lost their lives Friday night. It was a staggering blow and we desire to express our sympathy to the families of those who lost their lives.’ DRUIDS TO LAFAYETTE City Degree Tcajn and Grand Arch to Assist in Work. The degree team of the Indianapolis Grove No. 37, United Ancient Order of Druids, escorted the Noble Grand Arch F. L. Shallenburg, Richmond, on his offiial visit to Star C.ty Grove No. 19. Lafayette, this afternoon. Three degrees of Druidism will be conferred this evening by the team. Other grand officers will attend. Catholic Knights Meet Catholic Knights of America, Branch 563, held a monthly meeting in St. Catherine’s Hall Monday evening, Miss Margaret Higgins, secretaray, announced.

Decorations and settings are to be realistic, members say. Booths resemble fronts of buildings and are complete even to the knotholes. The Red Dog dance palace and an old-time saloon are features. VETERANS POST TO CELEBRATE Second Anniversary Will Be Observed Sunday. Convention City Post No. 1405, Veterans of Foreign Wars, will observe its anniversary Sunday at th*> Post hall, 210 E.
