PYTHIANS OPEN STATE_PARLEY Indiana Grand Lodge Holds 59th Annual Convention. t The annual convention r of the Indiana Grand Lodge of the Knights of Pythias opened today with a session of the Uniform Rank at Castle Hall, 230 E. Ohio St. Officers will be elected late this afternoon. The 'grand chancellor banquet at 6 p. m. in the Lincoln is the first activity of the Grand Lodge. Dolph E. Farr, new grand chancelllor, ,and Louis S. Elmore, present grand chancellor, will be honor guests. Farr is to be installed Wednesday. Banquet speakers are Edgar W. Ellis, Columbus, Ohio, recorder of the supreme tribunal; Aubrey Adkins, Ft. Thomas, Kv., grand prelate, and E. G. Pormann, Louisville,, Ky.. past grand chancellor. Representatives of organizations affiliated with the K. of P. will speak. Carl Mitchell, grand keeper of records and seals, is toastmaster. Maurice De La Tour, who has confessed setting fire to St. Patrick's Church, Woodlawn Ave. and Hunter St., which was destroyed with approximately SIOO,OOO loss and minor fires at Our Lady of Lourdes and St. Joan of Arc churches, pleaded not guilty to an arson charge in Criminal Court today. When he informed Criminal Court Judge James A. Collins that his attorney had not arrived from New York and that he wanted a change of venue, Collins named H. B.
