HONOR PAID TO TOURING LEGION GROUMN ITALY Peace Is Keynote of Talks at Brilliant Dinner in ' Rome Hotel. Bn Z'nited Praia ROME, Sept. 30.—Two hundred American Lcggionaires on a goodwill tour of Europe, left here at midnight for Lucerne, Switzerland. Howard P. Savage, legion commander, is in the group."' The last of a series of official functions given during the legionnaires’ visit in Rome was a brilliant dinner at the Excelsior Hotel, with the Italian War Veterans’ Association as hosts. American Ambassador Henry P. Fletcher, Colonial Minister Luigi Federzoni, Undersecretary Dino Grandi and American military attaches and high government officials were among the notables. “You and I have had our share of war, and know the sacrifices it brings,” said retiring Commander Savage "We want no more of war, if with honor we can avoid it. All of us have learned one lesson from it—the appreciation of peace. “Further, we have learned that for some time we must incur the
MUCOUS MAN COULDN'T RAISE ARMS ABOVE HEAD Had Neuritis for Four Years and Says Konjola Was the First Medicine That Really Ended His Miseries. “In the more severe case of neuritis the pains are piercing—just like hot daggers cutting into the herves,” said the Konjola Man yesterday at Hook’s Drug Store, Illinois and Washington Sts., Indianapolis, where he is daily introduc-

Ing and explaining the new medical product, Konjola, to the people of this vicinity. “Many authorities have stated that the agony of neuritis is likened unto an electrical shock, the shooting pains may grab the sufferer at frequent intervals. Some call this affliction neuralgia, others say it is like rheumatism, but in either event it is a terrible affliction, and one of the most agonizing diseases mankind is heir to,” continued the Konjola Man. It is surprising what this new medical preparation, Konjola, will accomplish in so many cases of neuritis suffering. By invigorating the inner organs to more healthy action and stimulating the liver and kidneys, the poisons throughout the system are eliminated, the nerves become stronger and within a brief space of time, this Konjola brings relief to the neuritis sufferer. For Instance, just a few days ago, Mr. Robert L. Curry, well-known Indianapolis citizen, living at 1426 English Ave., this city, made the following statement about Konjola: “I had neuritis for four years,” said Mr. Curry, “the pains centered in my arm and shoulders. At times I would feel numb from the tips of my fingers to my elbows like being paralyzed, but most of the time my shoulders would be a mask of aches and pains. Before I began taking Konjola, I couldn’t raise my arms above my head and sometimes I could only raise them a trifle above my waist line. My wife would have to help me put on my coat and when L arrived at my work, one of the fellow employees would help me off with it. I would lie awake at nights with such dreadful pains that I had to get up and walk the floor, rubbing myself to get relief. I certainly was in a miserable condition, and the people who know me can verify my statement. “I decided to give this new Konjola a trial, and it turned out to be the first medicine that really ended my miseries. After taking this wonderful medicine for fohr days, all traces of neuritis was gone. I feel like I never had neuritis in my life. I have not been bothered with it since and I believe Konjola has eliminated all my troubles. My work is easier and I never become tired or worn out like I used to. “There isn’t a doubt in my mind that Konjola will help anyone who will give this medicine a trial, and I certainly recommend it.” The Konjola Man is at Hook's Drug Store, Illinois and Washington Sts., Indianapolis, where he is daily meeting the public and introducing and explaining the merits of this remedy. disease of war, and fight it as we would any other ainess, to avoid a far worse and fatal illness. “The American Legion, knowing thoroughly this lesson, believes the best means of avoiding that disease is to keep ourselves strong and to understand our neighbors in a sympathetic way.” A message was read .from Premier Benito Mussolini, thanking the legionnaires for their visit and wishing them all prosperity, minister Federzozni said the roots of Fascism had been found in the American sense of energy and practicability. Ambassador Fletcher said the legionnaires were the real American ambassadors, “while I am only a hack diplomat.” He said it had been proposed to the Italian government that a monument be erected In Rome in memory of the Italian and American war dead and that the proposal was being considered favorably. Death Driver Cleared V/ASHINGTON, Ind., Sept. 30. A. H. Book, Princeton, a traveling salesman, was absolved of blame today in the accident Thursday that was fatal to Russell Hamilton, 9, who jumped from a school bus and ran in front of an automobile driven by Book. Authorities said the bus had not come to a full stop and the boy should not have jumped ctf when he did.

NEW GUN TO BE PERiLTOPLANE Inventor Perfects Weapons to ‘Spray’ Aircraft. By Times Special WASHINGTON, Sept. 30.—Deathdealing airplanes which escaped practically unscathed In the World War due to ineffectiveness of antitlrcraft guns, may not fare so well in the next war, as the result of an Invention just patented by a Pittsburgh man. The invention, a peculiar type of gun mount which permits distribution of bullets over a wide area, came about in an interesting manner. Nine years ago Congressman Clyde Kelly of Pittsburgh visited the front line trenches in the Fiesmes sector and observed the havoc caused in ranks of the 28th Division by the German planes. The American troops were without planes at this point and the anti-aircraft guns proved so Ineffective that the enemy fliers flew over the lines almost with Impunity, dealing death and destruction as they passed.
