Woman Carried Miles by Hit and Run Driver

Victim Taken to Office of Doctor, Left ori Floor; Condition Serious. The automobile driver who struck Mrs. Sadie Tomlinson, 60, of 715 Fletcher Ave., on a south side street Wednesday .drove four miles across the city with her, half conscious, in che car, before unceremoniously dumpiing her into a doctor’s office and leaving her, police have learned. Mrs. Tomlinson is in city hospital, her skull fractured and with serious internal injuries. Dr. A. A. Hollingsworth, 4121 E. Washington St., discovered Mrs. Tomlinson on the floor of his reception room, when an unusual noise attracted him from his private office. The auto in which Mrs, Tomlinson was brought to the doctor’s office had disappeared. Rushed to the hospital by Motor Policemen Viles and Coleman, Mrs. Tomlinson for several hours was unable to give any clew to her identity or any information regarding the cause of her injuries. Later, she recalled that she had been on her way to the south side market on South St. “I can’t remember what street I was crossing,” said Mrs. Tomlinson. ‘‘l just know that I suddenly real-
