8-HOUR DAY FOR WOMEN ASKED " \ Resolution Before Indiana Labor Federation. By Times Special BLOOMINGTON, Ind., Sept. I. An eight-hour day for working women is urged in one of ten resolutions which are before the Indiana State Federation of Labor in forty-third annual convention here. This session opened Wednesday to continue three days. The Muncie trades council presented the resolution for the shorter work day for women. Railroad workers of Princeton offered a resolution asking better sanitary conditions at railroad shops. Most of the resolutions offered were by the postoffice clerks local union of Ft. Wayne. These included that examinations be taken on working time instead of the employe's; that a clerk’s affiliations with labor, social, fraternal or religious organizations shall not be construed as for his profit or gain; forty-four-hour week for Government employes. CONFESS PLOT TO SLAY TWO South Bend Woman and Star Boarder Held. Bu Timet Special SOUTH BEND, Ind., Sept. I. Mrs. Bernice Dienes, 60, and her star boarder, James Gall, 41, stand today as confessed plotters for the murder of her husband, Andrew Dienes, 51, and John Kolegar. The couple was arrested on charges of conspiring to commit a felony after Alex Kovach, 40, said they offered him S6OO to slug Dienes so they could obtain $2,000 and to end Koleger’s life because Mrs. Dienes disliked him. . Kovach told police he was out of money and when Gall approached him while he was sitting .in an employment office and broached the murder plot, he consented to take tfart. They went to the home of Mrs. Dienes and discussed details. Later Kovach’s nerve failed him, and he told police of the conspiracy.
