ELECTRICITY FROM AIR OPERATES CAR (BUT—) Reporter Finds Battery, Shows Up Inventor to Investors. Bit United Frees KANSAS CITY, Mo., Aug. 10.— Last week H. E. Perrigo drove a “mystery car” forty miles an hour, apparently with no other power than that which he claimed was electricity accumulated from the air. The Chamber of Commerce was interested. Electrical engine ;rs marveled and every one predicted a complete revolution of the motor car Industry. More than $40,000 in stock was sold to manufacture the motor car. Then an inquiring newspaper reporter discovered a storage battery concealed in the upholstering of the car. Perrigo attacked the reporter, but the battery was disconnected and the automobile failed to operate. Now Perrigo claims he will prove
his mystery car will run without the battery and that he will make another test—but investors are skeptical. ‘BIG BILL’ TO”CRUSADE CHICAGO, Aug. 10—Mayor William hale Thompson, who was mainly responsible for the flood relief congress here a few weeks ago, now
