“There will always be something to do.” Under this caption Bruce Barton, advertising man, pays a Just tribute tp radio entertainment end Merlin Hall Aylesworth, National Broadcasting Company president, in an article in the American Magazine for August. Barton contrasts the broadcasting of a program from a Newark factory five years ago with the inaugural of the N. B. C. last November. Many "fans do not realize what strides have been made in radio because they did not follow it in its earlier developments. The article suggests some of these changes. ' , “The most Important man in radio entertainment” is Barton’s characterization of Aylesworth.
A worth while concert is the violincello program at 8 p. m. from CNRT, Toronto, Ontario. One source of dance music will be WMAQ, Chicago, between 9 and 11 p. m. The usual popular entertainment at WQJ follows this, ending at 1 a. m. WGY, Schenectady, will have a “rube” program at 7:30 p. m. Si Hopkins, well known farmer-enter-tainer of this station, has permited the installation of the “mike” in his barn and has invited in his neighbors. The Corn Huskers Orchestra will be there and Eddie Rice with his fiddle. The Radio Four will attend the gathering, too. The Irvington School of Music, usually scheduled for Thursday, has
