JEWISH DRIVE TO AIDORPHANS Indiana Asked to Subscribe $125,000 to Fund. Indiana Jews will be asked to subscribe $125,000 toward the $1,000,000 building fund to be raised in District No. 2, Independent Order, B’Nai B'Rith, for the Cleveland Jewish Orphan Home. Formal announcement of the campaign was made by Fred Lazarus, Jr., president of the home, yesterday at the annual meeting of the home, attended by representatives of communities in B’Nai B’Rith District No. 2, comprising Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, New Mexico and Wyoming. Campaign headquarters have been established at Columbus, Ohio and plans call ioT completion of the drive by Dec. 31. Members of the campaign executive committee are Fred Lazarus, Jr., Columbus; Louis J. Borinstein, Indianapolis; Rabbi Samuel Mayerburg, Dayton; Philip Schier, Kansas City, and E. J. Schanfarber, Columbus. During the fifty-nine years of its existence, the Cleveland Jewish Orphan Home has cared for more than 4,000 boys and girls between 5 and 16, of which 173 have been admitted from Indiana. Board members from Indiana are: Louis J. Borinstein, Sol S. Kiser, Indianapolis; Ira Ciralsky, South Bend; Ralph Clark, Ft. Wayne; Dr. William Feder, Gary. PICNIC SET FOR AUG. 13. Bn United Press ANDERSON, Ind., July 11.—Employes of Plants 4 and 6 of the Delco-Remy Company here, with members of their families, will hold a picnic at Broad Ripple Park, Indianapolis, Aug. 13.

200 DEAD IN FLOODS Saxony in Chaos and Disease Outbreak Looms. Bu United Press DRESDEN, Germany, July 11.— Chaos existed today in the Saxon flood districts. The death toll was estimated at more than 200. The village of "Berggiesbuebel alone reported ninety-three dead. A mother went insane when she recognized the bodies of three of her children. Authorities have mobilized all police, fire guards and doctors of surrounding districts for rescue work. An outbreak of disease is feared. Water mains are broken and creeks are contaminated with corpses. Hundreds of people roamed the mountain sides and valleys yesterday in search of relatives.
