FINISH PAVING SOUTH BEND ' DIVISION ST. Weekly Road Report Warns Drivers About Incomplete Shoulders. Paving on Division St., South Bend, is now completed and traffic on U. S. 20 is now using the street and eliminating the western detour, according to the State Department’s weekly bulletin. Director John D. Williams again asks that motorists co-operate with the department by driving carefully on new pavement where shoulders are still incomplete. Road conditions were listed as follows: V. S. No. 52 (Jet. of 41 near Fowler, Lafayette, Lebanon. Indianapolis, Rushville, Brookville. Cincinnati)—Detour from east edge of Montmorenci to IYx miles east l of Otterbein. Two detours between Lebahon and Lafayette in fair shape. Paving between Marion County line and Rushvine with detours for local traffic. (Pavement open between Rushville and Gwynneville, but traffic drives It at own risk as shoulders are not completed.) Through traffic may route via National Rd. (No. 4h) to Dunreith, thence south on Rd. 3. Building twelve bridges between Marion County line and Moristown with detours marked for local traffic. No. 67 (Vincennes. Bicknell, Spencer. Indianapolis, Anderson, Muncie) —Short paved detour through Lawrence account of paving repair. Short detour through Pendleton around paving a gap at Huntsvyie will be open July 12. No. 29 (Madison, Versailles. Greensburg, Shelbyville, Indianapolis. Kirkilh, Lcgansport, Laporte. Jet. of No. 20 near Michigan City)—-Closed at five miles north of Madison for construction, detour Is over country road to Madison. Detour ’around construction just south of Greensburg, one mile of which is very narrow. Detour from one miles north of Burlington to near Deer Creek for construction. Detour from Knox to a Joint six miles north at Jet. of No. 30 account paving. U. S. No. 31 (Louisville. Seymour. Columbus, Indianapolis, Peru, Plymouth, South Bend, Michigan line) —Closed for two weeks for ten miles between Seymour and Columbus for surface treatment. (Watch R. R.. crossing at north end of detour.) Detour between Columbus and Amity for paving. Run-around at eleven miles north of Kokomo and run around at one mile north of Peru. .
