The annual agricultural tour of the Marion County Bankers’ Association will be taken Wednesday. The group will leave the Columbia Club at 9:30 a. m. to visit farms throughout the county. The Rev. Henderson L. V. Shinn, pastor of Immanuel Reformed Church, will deliver the corner stone laying address at the dedication of the educational building Sunday morning following regular church service. The addition cost $445,000 and will accommodate 800. The Rev. L. D. Davis, Indianapolis, was re-elected presiding elder, and various pastors reassigned at the closing session of the annual conference of the Seventh Episcopal District African M. E. Zion Church Sunday afternoon. The sessions were held at Jones Tabernacle, Blackford and Michigan Sts. A fund of $3,308.79 was raised for church and mission work. New buildings of Brookside Park tUnited Brethren Church, Eleventh ’and Olney Sts., will be dedicated during the next two weeks, preliminary to the final service June 26. Bishop H. H. Fout will deliver the dedicatory address. While a raiding squad in charge of Sergeant Reilly was searching the home of Otis Getty, 316 N. Pine St., John Baxter, 837 N. Delaware St„ came In to deliver five gallons of alcohol, police report. A small quantity of wine was found. Police arrested Baxter and Getty and Anna Omara, 316 N. Pine St. ) " Diana Crittenden, 22, 1101 E. Washington St., was taken to city hospital where stitches were taken in her head and body bruises treated, after she told police her uncle, Fred Birdsel. 45. Glenn hotel, had come to her home drunk and beaten her. huice charged Birdsell with assault ..nd battery and vagrancy. William F. Lane, 53, of 318 E. Vermont St., died today at city hospital of poison taken Saturday night. Lane was found by police and his wife unconscious on the floor of the bathroom at his home. No motive was found. Berdinc Slonkosky, 17, missing from her home at Sidney, Ohio, was found by her brother and police Sunday afternoon at a rooming blouse fit 938 N. Alabama St. Betty felniridge. 20. also of Sidney, and the Slonkosky girl, told police they tame here a week ago. but were unable to obtain employment. The girls were taken home by the brother. Roy Bailey, 15 W. Merrill St., was arrested Sunday night by police for malicious trespass upon complaint of .his wife, Lurl, who is suing for divorce. Bailey was cut on the arm by glass he shattered out of the front door in obtaining entrance to his wife’s home. He was taken to city hospital and later to city prison. Police today sought a man who told Mrs.’''Minnie Waymire, operator of a sanitarium at 3547 E. Washington St., that he had just been released from jail. She charges tha man stole her pocketbook, containing s6l and an indorsed check for $29, when she gave him a ride downtown after he had applied for work at her home. Police today held John Davis, 20, of 540 S. California St., on $5,000 vagrancy bond following his arrest Saturday night at Merrill and West Sts., carrying a sack containing a blow torch, hack saw, files and other tools they allege were stolen from the Union Traction freight station. Kentucky Ave. and West St. N. 11. Gilman of the Allison Engineering Company talked on “Airplane Engines” at the Scientech Club luncheon at the Chamber of today. Escaping relatives who had sought to keep him in the house because of illness, Richard Hill, 65, of 1124 S. Senate Ave., wandered away early Sunday and dropped dead while walking at 141 Kansas St. His heart was affected. Julius Ellingboc, one of the three race drivers injured in the 500-mile race May 30, today was able towalk about the Methodist Hospital. Drivers Henry Kohlert and Norman Batten still are bedfast but improving. Five thousand persons arc expected to attend the benefit dance of Holy Cross parish girls at Cinderella pavilion at Riverside park tonight. The dance is to raise iunds with which to help repair the Holy Cross school in E. Ohio St., damaged by the tornado. Clifford Roe. 1319 Pratt St., told police two men attacked him and robbed him of $7 at the Pratt St. Nickel Plate railroad crossing when they found him wandering in the street at 1 a. m. Sunday. Awakened by a noise at the back door Sunday night, C. Rogers, 2331 Spann Ave., turned on a light to see a man attempting to pry open the back door with an ax. Rogers leaned from a window and discharged a shotgun as the would-be burglar hurdled a fence. The burglar screamed as if hit. N. 8. Grubb, 61, of 330 N.
