BUTLER MAY DAY OBSERVANCE HELD Dorothy Huetter Mamed School ‘Queen.’ Butler University began formal observance of May Day this morning with a breakfast and announcement that Miss Dorothy Huetter had been elected May Queen, to preside over the pageant on,, the campus. As Juliet, Miss Huetter was crowned-- 1 queen • -this afternoon. Pageant was produced by Misses Betty Heffernan and Eleanor Dunn. A comedy, “The Romancers,” a one-hour concert was also included. AUTO~PUSHERS NABBED Two 15-year old boys are held in the Detention Home today charged with vehicle taking. Patrolman Perry Shipman, found the youths pushing an auto at Twenty-Eighth St. and Sherman Dr. at 1:30 a. m. ( They told him the car belonged to them and ran out of gas. No ignit ion key was found in the car and police learned they broke into the garage of Charles Essick, 2502 N. Sherman Dr. and took the car. GIRL IN AUTO INJURED Miss Naomi Miller, 20, of 2501 N. Delaware St., was seriously injured about the head and badly cut when an auto in which she was riding with Albert Hessler, 24, of 117 W. Thirtieth St., was in collision with an auto driven by a woman who failed to stop after the crash at TJlinols and Michigan Sts., late on Thursday. R. C. Heath, 950 W. Thirtieth St., followed the “hit and run” driver and gave police the license number. PRIVATE HUNT FOR ACES Bu United Press __ NE WYORK, May 27.—A private- , ' ty‘flnanced rescue expedition was being made ready today to search for Capts. Nungesser and Coli, missing French aviators. Alaj. F. Sidney Cotton, formerly of RoVal Air Force and Newfoundland Mail Service, will leave next week in a seaplane. Frank Tichenor, Aero Digest publisher, announced 516.000 was raised to finance the search. Child’s Party Aids Storm Relief

Doing her bit to boost the St. Philip Neri convent tornado sufferers’ fund, Dorothy Woods, 11, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Woods, 529 N. Rural St. (upper right), gave a party for neighborhood playmates Ihtirsday afternoon. She charged admission to the backyard of her home and raised $4.15. Thirty friends attended. Refreshments served to boost collections.
